The Italian capital is the largest city in the country and by far one of the most popular city-break destinations in Europe. People from all over the continent come here to enjoy the vast offer of cultural and historical aspects as well as the superb Italian cuisine and the easygoing lifestyle of the true Romans.
The old city of Rome still has the flair of ancient times and reminds visitors of the epoch when Rome was seen as the “capital of the world”. A few of the most famous monuments still today are the Colosseum, the Forum Romanum and of course Vatican City with St. Peter’s Cathedral.
For frequent visitors of the city who are interested in slightly less crowded spots an insider tip is the little town of Ostia that is situated just outside of Rome and offers the remains of an ancient harbor – a great experience for visitors interested in history. The landscape around Ostia also offers beautiful views and a worth a visit.
So use this opportunity now to escape the fast approaching autumn and enjoy a few more days of sunshine in the Italian capital. To celebrate the start of the new route Ryanair has released a special three Euro offer* that can be booked until midnight, Wednesday, 4th of November. So hurry up and book your autumn or winter getaway as soon as possible as flights will be snapped up shortly.
